I Know

that the WP was very careful in its report on the Kerry/Dean infighting and attributed the remarks to his campaign spokesman, Chris Lehane (the direct link works now). Presumably, though, the spokesman actually represents Kerry's feelings on the subject, so Kerry does not get off the hook for the remarks.

I hate like hell to see Democrats fighting other Democrats and making it so much easier for Rove to work his magic in the fall campaign. Lehane should probably be sacked; he sounds like another Donna Brazile. But that still doesn't let Kerry off the hook.
