Nothing Like that
Pioneer spirit to keep the Bush coffers flowing.
It seems like some of Bush's campaign donors pledged even more than the $100k goal of the losing 2000 campaign:
"Some of the lobbyists and and corporate executives who funded President Bush's campaign agreed to raise at least $250,000 apiece, much more than the previously reported goal of $100,000, according to campaign documents...
"Those who raised $100,000 were recognized as Pioneers, but the campaign documents show that there was a previously undisclosed class of donor who raised as much as $600,000..."
Next year the goal will be $200,000. It boggles the mind how much the "premium" Pioneer donation will be.
