The War Against Working

people continues.

This time the House is considering a bill that would allow companies to screw blue collar workers by allow companies to reduce their pension obligations by billions of dollars by claiming blue collar workers "don't live as long" as the CEO bastards and their House minions who want this bill. Because of the declining amount of money in company pensions, the UAW somehow supports this piece of shit.

Problem is the "fact" blue collar workers don't live as long as other workers is disproven by someone who actually looked at the statistics and found higher pay, not job classification, was a major factor in worker longevity.

Despite some union support, I can just see this as some kind of contingency plan. After all, once companies get rid of wage-and-hour laws, the minimum wage, child labor, the entire 20th century, they won't have to worry about pensions anymore. People will be worked to death and will never be able to collect on retirement.
