Kurtz

gloats he believes the Democrats are in a deep "funk" about next election. You know, Bush will get perhaps token opposition, and he will sail into the White House so easily he won't have to rig the votes. The economy is in tatters, social programs are being gutted by an administration that was illegitimate in the first place, foreign policy is a disaster, but it ain't Bush's fault. It simply ain't. With this track record of destroying everything in his path, Bush will be elected to his first term next year in a walk.

Assuming the voting machines aren't rigged in the first place.

One should probably save this article and return to it when John Edwards is inaugurated president of the United States--assuming a fair election.

Anyway, Kurtz is just using this as an excuse to further trash Hillary Clinton, someone the media desperately wants to run for president in '08 so they can find somebody to trash and have a further excuse to ignore their responsibility to report the wrongdoing by this current administration. But by Kurtz's "logic," it wouldn't matter if she did run for president because Jeb Bush will be the next in line for succession. And when Hillary hits almost 70 in 2016, George P. Bush will be the next in line.
