This Is Definitely

printworthy. Buzzflash has an interview with comedian-turned-media-watchdog Al Franken.

He recounts the confrontation with Bill O'Reilly at the Book Expo America conference in Los Angeles May 31, but one should really see the confrontation to appreciate it. All O'Reilly had to do about the Peabody/Polk mixup was simply to correct the record. But he denied he even said it, went on the record saying he denied it, and that's what Franken's point really was; in short, the squawk talk hosts can't and won't retract misstatements unless they are confronted with them. Instead, O'Reilly got extremely defensive and argumentative, and all that did was make him look worse.

Which merely supported Franken's point.

But like O'Reilly's "wetback" remark of a while back, this episode will hardly hurt his career.
