It's Robert Novak,

so one should take it as one will, but he alleges Donald Trump called his good friend S. to advise S. to get rid of S.'s economic adviser, Warren Buffett. Here's why, according to Novak:

"Trump told [S.] that he holds substantial real estate in California and that increasing state property taxes advocated by Buffett would be devastating to him personally and to the state's economy. 'If you kill Proposition 13,' Trump added, 'you kill [S.] for governor.'"

Self-interest is public interest, after all.
