Karl Rove

must be getting to some of the "conservatives" because some of them want to be able to unite behind one candidate, namely S. They don't give a rat's ass about "principles" but rather to win at any cost, even if it means supporting the inarticulate, unknowledgeable, boob-grabbing, money-grubbing Austrian Oak.

However, there are some who are refusing to support S. no matter what. But in Rove's eyes, it doesn't matter if a few end up supporting Simon or somebody else. If S. can pick up enough moderate Republicans (are there such animals now?) and even Democrats, well, that's all the better.

After all, Rove wants the state for '04, and he wants to keep Dickie and Kenny out of jail.
