One of the Rare Times
I am going to spell out the candidate's last name.
Here is the Chronicle's version of the Schwarzenegger Shuffle of yesterday.
He said he would vote no on a bill providing driver's licenses for undocumented workers, yet he feels sympathy for their plight (being an alien originally--and some would claim he still is--it's understandable). He is in favor of abortion rights yet is against gay marriage. And the whole nine yards in trying to please everybody.
Art Torres says it best: "He's as phony as his hair color. (He's saying) I'm so rich, I need money from no one, and he's hired professional fund-raisers who work for George Bush, and takes checks from the same 'special interests' he's been fighting against.'"
