"[S.] Offered
no details [about how to fix the state's economic mess] but, in truth, if he had, it is not clear anyone in the crowd heard or cared."

That's a pretty damning statement amid a report that could be construed as soft-pedaling S. The quotes from some of the people in the crowd aren't much better. "We need a bully pulpit," "we need somebody who can win," and never mind the fact S. doesn't have a clue.
But he's in good company. Most of his followers don't have a clue, either. They must be mostly movie star groupies or autograph seekers.
