just finished watching the fireworks from my front window. If it weren't for a tree in front of an apartment building nearby, I'd have had an unobstructed view of the downtown festivities.
I saw about 3/4 of it, even though there were low clouds and snow flurries. However, the clouds did move in enough where I couldn't see the end of the fireworks display.
I am sure thousands of people braved the snow, ice, and cold to see them. I wonder if Lake Tahoe had its annual fireworks display.
