Masherama.
I don't trust any study which appears to be affiliated with the national Education Trust organization, and it is the usual horseshit of blaming unions for the fact veteran teachers tend to transfer out of "at risk" schools to the upscale schools, while less experienced teachers get the less desirable assignments.
That's just the way it is, and I know that once a teacher has a regular position, he or she can transfer out at the end of the school year to another school, no matter where it is.
Unless there are bonuses to encourage veteran teachers to go to the at-risk schools, I say tough shit to people like the antiunion bastards from the "Education Trust."
Fat chance it's gonna happen, especially when it's mentioned in the article horseshit about "merit" pay and the like as "solutions."
The Education Trust doesn't give a shit about public education.
It's a surprise Arnold hasn't exactly kept his promises.
Housing costs in the Bay Area continue to go through the goddamned roof.
