For those displaced by Hurricane Katrina, Thanksgiving brings a lot of mixed emotions.

For those who returned or never left New Orleans, they are thankful to be alive despite the obvious hardships.

NOLA will have Mardi Gras next year, but it will be scaled down to eight days instead of the normal eleven.
