While
there is all of this phony debate going on about the teaching of evolution in the schools, it might be time to look at the evolution of the man who came up with the theory, Charles Darwin.
Along those lines, I agree with this writer that there's no real conflict between religion and science, including evolution.
Only those who believe in the notion the Bible is inerrant and everything in it is literally true find a conflict between the two.
Since religion and science are separate realms, with separate goals, there's no conflict at all.
As I've explained in previous posts, religion seeks to explain WHY we are here while science seeks to explain HOW we got here.
