Preakness and Belmont Winner
Afleet Alex has been retired from racing.
He hasn't run a race since the Belmont. He suffered a hairline fracture, and the injury was such it was doubtful he could ever race again.
It is believed Afleet Alex may have suffered the initial injury in the Preakness, when Scrappy T bore into him and he clipped his heels, almost going down.
