Blogger was on the fritz last night in terms of the actual blog page rather than the dashboard, I decided to bypass doing any further blogging and instead concentrated on my real life. As I worked out indoors, I watched a DVD of the old Burns and Allen Show.

They don't make comedies like this anymore. Gracie Allen was a brilliant comic actress who could memorize pages and pages of dialogue and somehow be utterly convincing as television's leading scatterbrain. Although George Burns was the witty one in real life, he was lost when she retired and then passed away in 1964 (at around the same time comic greats Eddie Cantor and Harpo Marx died). Of course he knew it.
