I heard the sad news civil rights leader Coretta Scott King, 78, had passed away overnight on the West Coast. Her daughter Bernice found her at about 1 a.m. apparently after resting.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution has many related articles about her on the frontpage. (John Bazemore, AP via AJC)
