As
the entrenched incumbent, Joe Lieberman should have won the Democratic primary by 50 or 60 percentage points against the nutroots idol Lamont, but ignoring early warnings have cost him dearly.
I am sure he will be re-elected even if he loses the primary. Lamont doesn't have anything going for him except his posturing on the Iraq War. Meanwhile, the nutroots waste their money on this race instead of putting money in other races.
If Bill Clinton endorses Joe Lieberman and the NYT decides to stick its nose into an election in another state by endorsing Lamont, I think Clinton has more credibility.
