Just Why

has the liberal blogosphere been shy about writing about the Israel mess?

Is it because the matter doesn't lend itself to pithy one-liners? Is it because writing about means the writer could prove he or she is in over his or her head, although that hasn't stopped bloggers from writing about things they know nothing about? Is it because they may be perceived as being anti-Israel? Or is it something else?
