I Should

have recorded Power, Privilege & Justice tonight which was about the notorious Peter Bergna case. Bergna was an Incline Village, Nevada, art appraiser who staged the death of his wife Rinette back in 1998. He claimed the brakes went out on his pickup truck, which plunged down the side of that godawful and aptly-named Slide Mountain. Police and prosecutors believed differently, and, when one closely examines the case, the allegations of murder make sense.

However, it wasn't the most ironclad murder case ever tried, but at least the bastard got convicted.

Perhaps the show will be rerun in the near future.
