Our dictator's numerous shortcomings may help in a resurgence of the American "left" or, probably more accurately, a liberal resurgence.
Health care reform, global warming, and the war can be criticized without the usual trashing of critics as "socialists" or whatnot.
It may be a bit too soon, in my view, to say there will be a resurgence. The right has had four decades on the left to get its poisonous views entrenched in the public conscience.
