not every student should be going to college anyway; in fact, MOST should not, but business interests have conned enough politicians to cram college-style curriclum and standards down school districts' throats guaranteeing that many students will NOT even graduate from high school.
This is all deliberate, of course. There is a large segment of the business community which does NOT want a "skilled" workforce, only a compliant one. You know, just like the Chinese.
