It'll

be interesting to see how much money candidates in both parties raise when the first quarter ends in a couple of days.

Some candidates might have to fold while others may have a fighting chance.

Notice asshole Nagourney doesn't include Edwards as a "major candidate":

“In the case of 1999, it was incredibly predictive of George W. Bush’s strength,” Mr. Mehlman said. “In the case of 1995, it was less predictive of where Senator Gramm was going.” At this point, analysts said, it seems highly unlikely that any of the major presidential candidates — Mr. McCain, Mr. Giuliani, Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Obama — will have trouble raising the money they will need to be competitive in the months ahead.

What an ass he is.
