but they ain't out, especially on the state level. Their pernicious campaigns to shove their beliefs down everybody else's throats are being attempted through unworkable school voucher schemes, even including those involving special education students (and despite the fact very few private schools will even ACCEPT them, or, if they do, they tend to offer families unproven techniques for working with these kids), through pushing creationist crap in school curriculum, and through various other schemes.
They will fail in the end, but not without creating a lot of mess.
