It is a fashionable cliche to claim public schools don't teach "critical thinking." This is something that is NEVER actually defined, but an asshole like this "attorney" and "professor" wants to claim he knows something of which he knows NOTHING about.

Public schools should stop stressing socialization to the neglect of fostering critical thinking, autonomy and creativity in students. Generally, public schools do not encourage enlightened dissent but a deadened passivity where students blindly accept teachers’ instruction as irrefutable fact.

This is just total crap. Schools don't just teach obedience, asshole. You obviously haven't been in a public school for years and years, but, like far too many other people, you think you know something just because you went through school. That qualifies you as an "expert."

No, jerk, you just want everybody to think like YOU do (note he quotes Howard Zinn, hardly a mainstream thinker), and anybody who doesn't agree with your point of view isn't a "critical thinker."
