now want to create some nonsense about a "code of conduct" in the blogosphere which will have absolutely no impact.
If you want to prevent nasty or libelous comments, don't allow comments at all on your blog. Also don't put your e-mail address on your blog. Of course that'll hurt readership because many people come to blogs in order to comment, but that's the only way you'll prevent "uncivil" and harassing comments.
