So help me God if Democratic voters are that stupid as to pick Hillary Clinton as the nominee, the party deserves to get a severe thrashing in the polls come November 2008.
It really makes one wonder if the party bigwigs really want the party to lose next year. After all, if Bill Clinton couldn't get 50 percent of the vote in a three-way matchup, what makes one think Hillary Clinton could do better in a two-way, especially given her high negatives? Not only that, she would put so many more blue states into play, particularly if Giuliani becomes the Republican nominee.
What's pathetic is her supporters, who live in such denial, keep harping on the notion that once people "get to know her," her negatives will go down. The problem is people ALREADY KNOW HER, or think they do. She's the most famous woman in the country and one of the most famous in the world, and the years of right-wing smears have stuck on her and will not come off.
What in the fucking hell is the matter with the party?
