and of Salon's Table Talk in the days when I was a regular poster know, the Bush I administration did in fact suppress the Sandia Report because it directly challenged the nonsense perpetrated by the Reagan and Bush I administrations that our educational system was "failing." Our schools were doing far, far better than the lies claimed. I also posted excerpts of the report on Table Talk. The report was not available online at the time.

Berliner and Biddle in their book The Manufactured Crisis (1995) wrote at length about it. This is not news at all.
