Howard "Chip" Silverman, the original "Diner Guy" and the subject of a 1982 movie, has died of cancer at the age of 65.

I missed the death of a few days ago of blind musician Jeff Healey, 41. He suffered from a lifetime battle with cancer. A rare form of cancer caused his blindness.
