I missed this obituary of prominent health activist and writer Barbara Seaman, 72. She warned readers about the dangers of birth control pills (The Doctors' Case Against the Pill, a book I read ages ago) and estrogen.
She was the co-author of two upcoming books about women's health issues.
Seaman also wrote a highly regarded book about novelist Jacqueline Susann, Lovely Me, which I was going to order today.
I just happened to look up Seaman and discovered she passed away a couple of weeks ago. She died of lung cancer.
More is here.
