We Know,

or should know, Barack Obama is no liberal and more of a moderate or even a conservative Democrat in many respects, but the mystery is why so many on the left of the Democratic Party support him.

Obama's fatal flaw is that he believes he can work across the aisle with a Republican Party that has long since been hijacked by right-wing ideologues. It still largely is, and they aren't the type that will compromise.

It's a totally screwed up situation, but Obama's attitude is naive in the extreme.
