was clinging to a stereotype almost as offensive as racial or gender ones when he made those "bitter" remarks the other day in San Francisco.
And yes, he is an elitist, or he appears to be. I noted that last summer when Michelle Obama came to Reno and spoke to voters at the Pioneer Center. She had a thing about attending Ivy League schools after having a relatively modest background and going to public schools in Chicago. She talked about what a great catch Barack was because he had gone to Harvard Law School and was the editor of its law review. He was the "best of the best," according to her. While she may be proud of him and his achievements--after all, she IS his wife--I noted she had to be careful talking like that because most voters, especially people outside of the northeastern part of the country, really don't care one bit about anyone attending Ivy League schools.
I knew stuff like this would trip up the both of them sooner or later. They would prove to be living examples of the "pointy-headed intellectuals" George Wallace talked about, or Barack being compared to Adlai Stevenson and not in a good way.
