Kentucky Derby is...

undefeated Big Brown, the favorite, the winner by 5 lengths.

He, like Curlin, the Preakness winner and Horse of the Year last year, was lightly raced going into the Derby. He had three wins going into the race.





Second-place finisher Eight Belles (left) had to be euthanized because she broke both front ankles following the race. Jesus, I can't stand this shit. Trainer Larry Jones won the Kentucky Oaks yesterday with Proud Spell, and now he has this tragedy.
