long years since horse racing has had a Triple Crown winner, and it's long overdue.

What the sport needs is another Affirmed-Alydar rivalry, or hell, another Secretariat, to help revive its popularity.

Let's take a look at the 1978 Kentucky Derby, which Affirmed won by the largest margin of any of the three races. Dave Johnson, for ABC, calls the race:
