A 94-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of his landlord, who the old man believed was poisoning him.
Frank Spillman was brought into Alameda Superior Court in a wheelchair. He is charged in the shooting death of Kulbushan Gupta, 64, Thursday.
If convicted, Spillman could get a life sentence.
I made that last sentence up. In seriousness, it sounds like Spillman has some kind of dementia, for there was no evidence at all Gupta was poisoning him or even evicting him.
