I couldn't give a shit less who Obama puts forward as his running mate. It doesn't matter because he has NO shot of winning the general election.
A lot of Clinton supporters are pissed off at what they claim is sexism by the media, the nutroots, and by the Democratic Party. I of course am far more cynical than to solely blame "sexism" for Clinton's failure to take the nomination. It isn't sexism primarily with the party bigwigs; the DNC is more concerned with expanding its donor base than it is winning the fall election. The nutroots no doubt have expressed hostility towards Hillary Clinton in part because of sexism, but their behavior stems in large part to most of these bloggers having no sense of the political process or of history. They don't understand the fact their divisive actions are reminiscent of the McGovernites of a generation ago. And as for the media, well, we know what is driving their shitty coverage of Clinton. It's all about payback against her husband and about protecting the Beltway Slut, Sally Quinn, and the corrupt culture of buddyhood between the Beltway media and the political elite. The Clintons never belonged to that culture, and they paid the price for not kissing Quinn and company's asses.
In any case, John McCain will be the beneficiary. Yours truly isn't going to vote for him, isn't going to vote for Obama, isn't going to vote third party judging from the riffraff in those parties. I am going to sit this presidential election out and vote for "none of these candidates" as long as I am in Nevada.
