From Alex Brown: Big Brown was eased. He was rank too early, got bounced around and
never relaxed. He was taken to the outside and simply did not fire. He was asked to run early and then back peddled. Kent then eased Big Brown.


That is plainly visible on the replay. Big Brown wanted to run early, and when he didn't get his way, he said "screw it" and didn't perform.

One thing Desormeaux told me at Bodines in Carson City a couple of weeks ago was to pray for Big Brown to be safe. That was his big concern, and he took care of him.
