You bet your ass John McCain has advantages going into the GE, recent polls notwithstanding.
In fact he's got a lock on the general election.
The thing is McCain doesn't need to win as many states as Obama; it's a lock for him to retain virtually all of the red states, and Obama has pretty much lost Michigan and Florida after the RBC screwed over Hillary Clinton in those states.
In fact the blue states are in real danger of going red this time out.

Susan!
I haven't visited your great blog in awhile. I am surprised to see the anger here against Barack Obama. You must not risk serving in a draft of have kids who might.
I hope you come around, girlfriend.
Actually I am not really mad at Obama so much (though it's hard to tell sometimes :)) as I am disgusted more by the way the media have covered this campaign.
I don't expect him to be treated as well by the media once he officially gets the nomination, and McCain, their true darling, will be the beneficiary.
That's really what has me upset more than anything, NMR. The media can just pick our candidates, and we have no real say. The GOP voters were basically forced to pick McCain.
I really wish "none of these candidates" was actually binding here in Nevada and other states also had the option. Of course there would be constitutional issues raised if that happened.
This really is a "none of the above" election year, in my opinion, unfortunately.
Thanks for stopping by.
