1996 champion three-year-old filly Yanks Music, 15, has been euthanized because of complications from colic.
She was owned by zillionaire Frank Stronach, who is the father of Canadian politician Belinda Stronach, who in turn was mentioned in Todd Purdum's filthy piece about Bill Clinton in a lame attempt to try and paint her as some kind of girlfriend of the former president because Purdum, like yours truly, is a frequent reader of the Globe and National Enquirer tabloids.
Getting back to the subject at hand, Frank Stronach is a major player in thoroughbred horse racing. Not only did he own Yanks Music, purchased in 1997 after her retirement from racing, he also owned champion racehorse Ghostzapper.
Yanks Music, a daughter of Air Force Won, was in foal to Thunder Gulch when she had to be euthanized.
