Rezko.

One of Barack Obama's closest friends, Tony Rezko, the crook who helped jumpstart the Audacity of Hype's political career and helped him buy his dream mansion, has been convicted of 16 of 24 counts, it was reported.

Governor Blagojevich is probably next to be prosecuted in this case:

Rezko's guilty verdict on 16 of 24 corruption counts could have broad repercussions for Blagojevich, who made Rezko a central player in his cabinet. It could also prove a political liability for U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, who once counted Rezko as a friend and fundraiser, as the likely Democratic presidential nominee heads into the general election campaign against Republican John McCain

Not if the Democratic voters have a say about it, Obama won't.

And this:

Rezko still faces trial in a $10 million business-loan fraud case in Chicago federal court, as well as Las Vegas charges that he didn’t pay $450,000 in casino-gambling debts.
