finds himself agreeing with the troublemaker William A. Donohue of the Catholic League over the "wafergate" nonsense.

Lyons especially agreed with Donohue's statements regarding the Beltway Slut, who Gene Lyons tactifully calls the "successful Monica Lewinsky," more polite than my nickname for her, but an insult to the former White House intern. Donohue didn't like her remarks about taking communion at Tim Russert's funeral service a few weeks ago.

Lyons critiques the blogger who made a big goddamned deal out of the stolen wafer at the University of Central Florida, which the thief returned. When Donohue rightly criticized this blogger, the dumb shit "progressives" in the blogosphere, many of whom are anti-Catholic bigots, went into action by defending this guy. It was stupid to behold. These "progressives" or "militant atheists" became exactly what they criticize others of being.

Here is the original piece. This is an example of a different point of view of Myers' retaliation, which was not just disrespectful but dumb besides.
