for Obama, Peggy Noonan, decides she doesn't like him so much after all. She's building up John McCain. She won't be the only one in the media who will be propping him up, either.
Now that it appears Obama will certainly be nominated next week as his party's standardbearer, PUMA protests notwithstanding, the knives will be coming out on cue, just as people like myself always believed they would.
By the way, the "one-term" pledge would work wonders for the GOP. McCain would retire in four years (and believe me, he's ready to retire NOW), and then his VP, probably Romney, will rule the land for the next eight years. That's the only reason people like Noonan think it's a good idea.
It's certainly something to look forward to if you're not a Democrat.
Update: Add George Will to the list of former Obama shills turning against him.

Susan,
Another conservative cheerleader for Obama during the primaries, George Will, is now attacking him.

This was so predictable.
I saw it coming during the primaries.
Conservatives pundits cheered on Obama because they wanted him to be the Dem nominee.
They will now start throwing everything in their arsenal.
And they've got plenty on him, too. All they have to do is start with his fictionalized autobiography and go from there.
The Democratic Party is headed towards permanent marginalization when they allow the other side and the media to pick their party's presidential nominees.
