I guess tomorrow is John McCain's 72nd birthday, but for some reason I don't think his announcing his running mate, likely Mitt, has anything to do with it. It's a cynical move by McCain to overshadow the Messiah's magnificent monologue at Mile High Mausoleum--er, Stadium.
Update: Actually tomorrow the 29th is McCain's birthday. And yes, the running mate is supposed to be officially announced on his birthday.
However, the leak with official confirmation will be tonight, so I am still right about McCain's desire to steal Obama's thunder.
