After Watching

Sincerely Yours, it isn't as bad as its reputation would have one believe. Sure the plot is hokey, and it's hard to believe Liberace juggles the love of two women in the film, but it isn't that terrible.

The film was made mostly to showcase Liberace's talent on the piano. He was at the peak of his popularity then, with his television series and the like and before he was a major headliner in Las Vegas.

The YouTube clips will be up only a few days. The person is taking all the clips down. No doubt he or she is either trying to convert the video to DVD format or even to upload on iPod, as I am doing.

The film was on VHS years ago, but it has never been released on DVD.

Believe it or not, "Sincerely Yours" is actually a remake of a film from the very early 1930's starring George Arliss and Bette Davis. It's called "The Man Who Played God" and shows up every so often on TCM.
