Campaign Notes [Updated]

Obama will be speaking in Elko, Nevada, today in the vain hope he can get just enough rurals to flip the state his way.

This is his third appearance in Elko.

John Kerry did win an impressive 40 percent of the rural vote back in 2004.

The Reno Gazette-Journal will have a video stream up when he does speak. It will be held at Elko Main City Park. The public will be able to enter at 9:30 this morning.

More than 750 people RSVP'd for the event.

I missed the 20-minute speech. Obama spoke to around 1,500 people about the economy.

He talked about how he, not McCain, is the real reformer this election.
