The House is voting on the bailout legislation, which I hope is defeated.
Naturally the GOP opposition to the bailout has nothing to do with any concern for taxpayers or for working people's interests or for fairness. It's all about preserving their libertarian political beliefs about the market.
This column provides a few clues why Democrats are acting like Republicans in the bailout scheme.
