Wall Street Bailout

Bush's speech of last night (see below) was full of the usual lies and half-truths when he tried to con the American people and Congress to support the screwing over of the masses in order to benefit the few.

But he could not explain how the handover of more than $700 billion in taxpayer money to the banks and investment firms will resolve the crisis.

In fact, his bailout plan is a naked attempt by the most powerful sections of the American ruling class to exploit a crisis of their own making to further enrich themselves, while imposing the burden on the working class of the United States and the entire world.

Yep.

Don't count on either major party presidential candidate to do the right thing; both have ties to Wall Street.

Obama is probably "dirtier" in this regard than McCain.

Wall Street controls both political parties, and Democrats will almost surely vote for the bailout, which is going to ruin things for working people.THEIR needs won't be met.

Both candidates will join bailout talks.

Congress is close to reaching a deal to screw over taxpayers.
