The Worst Excuse for a Movie Ever Made

Of course, I can only be referring to 1968's Candy, the shittiest, most unwatchable movie of all time. Richard Burton must have loved Elizabeth Taylor so much to have put himself through such humiliation:

And this isn't even the worst part of his performance, either!

In 1968, critic John Simon wrote "As an emetic, liquor is dandy but 'Candy' is quicker."

I can remember the terrible reviews the movie received, and they were deserved.

The only reason it has a cult following today is because it is known to be one of the worst movies ever made.

There may be worse ones out there I am not aware of, but this one will do for now. I have the DVD of it and have been able to watch it all the way through only twice.

I read someplace "star" Ewa Aulin was continually harassed during the filming, especially by Marlon Brando. It was not a good experience for her. I also read someplace Aulin retired and eventually became a teacher. Somebody out there probably knows her whereabouts and can clue me in what Aulin, in her late fifties now, is doing.
