Even though the latest Gallup poll shows the race all but a dead heat, that hasn't stopped the spinners from trying to talk John McCain into giving it up.
A LOT can happen in three and half weeks. I haven't counted McCain out. As Democrats, we had better PRAY the GOP gets in there and really screw it up so Democrats can actually nominate a Democrat in 2012, not some "neoliberal" faker like we are stuck with now (unless, of course, he is forced out because of an indictment and we would once again have a Democrat).
It boils down to Ohio and Florida. If Obama can hold either or both states, then he's won. But nothing can be left to chance.
