George "Wydell" Jones, a member of the doo-wop group the Edsels and composer of their big hit, "Rama Lama Ding Dong," has died at the age of 71 following a battle with cancer. He had a wife, 6 children, 16 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Based in Ohio, the Edsels also included Jimmy Reynolds, Harry Green, Marshall Sewell, and Larry Green, according to the AP article.
