While the Minnesota Senate race continues to be up in the air, it is time to look at an even closer Senate race, the New Hampshire Senate race of 1974, which wasn't resolved until September of 1975. The Democrat, John Durkin, won over Republican Louis Wyman.
Another close one was the 1964 Nevada Senate race where Howard Cannon bested Paul Laxalt by a mere 48 votes.
